He began his career as a project engineer with the Perak State Development Corporation in 1979. Two years later, he was appointed as the Executive Director of its subsidiary, Maju Bangun Sdn Bhd. In 1982, he set up his own business and is currently a director of several private companies which are involved in the range of businesses such as construction, investment, distributorship, general trading and project management. He is currently the Chairman of the Chemical Industries Council of Malaysia (“CICM”) and the Small & Medium Industries Development Corporation (“SMIDEC”) and a Corporate Member of Institute of Engineers Malaysia (“MIEM”). |
