Nylex (Malaysia) Berhad (“Nylex” or “Company”) wishes to announce that its subsidiary company, PT Indomalay Ekatana Roofing Industries (“IRI”) , had held its extraordinary general meeting on 26 October 2009 during which it was resolved that IRI be wound-up voluntarily.
IRI has appointed Mr Johanes Gidion of Komplek Pondok Lestari, Blok C 4/4, Ciledug, Tangerang 15157, Indonesia as the liquidator.
IRI is a 70% owned subsidiary of Malaysian Roofing Industries Sdn Bhd (“MRI”). MRI is a 70% owned subsidiary of the Company. IRI has ceased production on 29 May 2009 and is currently dormant.
The liquidation of IRI is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings and net assets of the Nylex Group for the financial year ending 31 May 2010. None of the Directors or substantial shareholders of Nylex or persons connected to them is interested, directly or indirectly, in the aforesaid liquidation.
